What is the purpose of this assessment?+
The purpose of TCA is to understand teacher support needs and plan interventions aligned with NPST.
Is participation in this assessment mandatory?+
Please refer to the official notification. Participation is strongly recommended because the outcomes help shape state-level teacher support planning.
Who is required to take this assessment?+
All teachers of all PM SHRI schools are expected to take this assessment.
What is the TCA assessment window?+
The TCA assessment window is from 1 March 2026 to 20 March 2026.
What is the duration of the assessment?+
The allotted duration is 45 minutes.
How do I log in to the app?+
Use your mobile number to register/log in to the SAARTHI Teacher app and then open TCA.
What should I enter as password?+
Follow the login flow shown in the app. If OTP login is enabled, verify using the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
Should I log in using email or phone number?+
Use mobile number login in SAARTHI Teacher.
What are the steps after login?+
After login, open the Teacher Dashboard, go to Competency Assessment, and start your assigned TCA.
Which assessment should I attempt?+
Attempt the assigned TCA (Teacher Competency Assessment) visible in your assessment list.
Can I take the assessment at any time?+
Yes, you can attempt it at your convenience within the dates mentioned in the official notification.
What happens if the time ends while I am answering?+
The assessment auto-submits/expires at the deadline. Responses marked within the allowed time window are considered by the system.
What if my internet connection disconnects?+
Please stay calm. Once internet connectivity is restored, you can resume from where you left off.
Why is the Offline indicator visible at the top-right?+
The Offline indicator appears when device internet is unstable. Move to a better network area, reconnect, and then retry submission.
The assessment is not starting. What should I do?+
Refresh once, re-login, check internet stability, and ensure the app is updated. If the issue continues, contact support.
What should I do if the screen freezes on a question?+
Refresh or reopen the app, then continue. If the issue persists, contact support with relevant details.
What if the app closes or crashes during the assessment?+
Reopen the app, log in again if required, and continue from the latest saved progress.
Can I open other apps during the test?+
It is recommended to avoid switching apps during the attempt. Stay on the assessment screen for stable progress and submission.
What if the assessment is submitted automatically?+
Auto-submission can occur when the time limit is reached or completion conditions are met. Submitted responses are recorded.
How many questions should I attempt?+
You should attempt all questions shown in your assigned TCA. The exact count depends on your assessment assignment.
I could attempt only a few questions. What should I do?+
Do not worry. If reattempt is enabled for your assignment/notification, you may attempt again.
Can I attempt the assessment again?+
Reattempt is allowed only if it is enabled in your assignment or official notification.
Can I take the test on both mobile and web?+
Yes. The test can be taken on both mobile and web. Mobile is preferred for best stability and experience.
Which browser should I use on web?+
If using web, use the latest Chrome, Safari, or Edge. For best experience, use the mobile app.
In which language is the assessment available?+
The assessment is available in both English and Hindi.
What is the focus of the questions?+
The questions assess teaching approach, pedagogy, classroom management, and reasoning ability.
Is there a qualifying mark or pass/fail cutoff?+
No. This is not a pass/fail test. It is a developmental assessment focused on support planning.
Will my score affect my professional record?+
This assessment is used for developmental support planning and teacher training design.
Will individual results be shared publicly?+
No. Individual results are treated as confidential and used for constructive analysis.
Is TCA aligned with educational standards?+
Yes. The content is aligned with NCERT pedagogy and the principles of NEP 2020 and NPST.
How should I prepare for this assessment?+
No special preparation is required. Attempt naturally based on your teaching practice and professional experience.
